I Think I Have Created a Monster

My SAL pin cushion turned into a foot stool , come table, come square pillow.  It all started because I didn't have any

little tiny hexies.  Then every thing had to be enlarged to cater for the big hexies ?????  Haven't sewn for so long......

Time Flies

OMG I can't believe I haven't blogged since Anzac Day. Sorry girls but life gets that way sometimes.

We have had our show, our school musical, mothers day visits from my son and his lovely wife, a patchwork retreat  plus we have been for a few days in our van. Yeah! I know I am just lazy  but oh well, not that I didn't think of you all.

I thought I would show you my most recent finish for the SAL I am in. An Anni Downs bag from her  "Some Kind of Wonderful book". Of course with a touch of my favourite colour, orange. It will be so sad next fashion season when other big O is not in....supposed to be Teal and Jade ....  but I don't  think I will be going there.....mmmm.

I really like the size and shape of this bag.

Not sure if I showed this from the April finish in the SAL.

Now for our McIntyre Quilters retreat to "Stacey's at the Gap"... If you want to see the lovely things the other girls made check out the McIntyre Quilters blog on my side bar. Its a lovely spot up there in Cunningham's Gap near Warwick.

I decided it was a good time to get my grandbaby's quilts made. I made the tops for four so I was pleased.  Sorry the photos are not great.

Just cute little prints

A little creek crossing to get there

This weekend we actually had a little rain so it was a nice time to sew. I finished off the quilt Emma made. It looks lovely. It was her first attempt. But I do think she got out of the binding ....Hmmm.
