Christmas Wishes Come True

  My Dad has been really ill for the past 5 weeks but fantastic news today, he is almost well enough to come home. They told us today he will be home for Christmas. I am so happy and feel so blessed that he has been a great fighter and the medical staff have been so kind. ....Reason to celebrate. ....I didn't feel much like Christmas until we got that news. I thought I would share some of my house at Christmas.

Of course I had some little visitors come and check it out..............The big kid in this pic went through school with my son. So glad they still keep in touch .

A beautiful Wedding

 On Saturday our family had a day to be proud of, our beautiful niece ( my sister's eldest daughter ) was married to a lovely young man. Hope you enjoy the pictures.  I made some hearts to decorate the chairs using my trusty pin cushion pattern and my embroidery machine.

Christmas has Arrived

I have been a little quiet on the blog lately sorry girls. Life sent me a few lemons.  

What a lovely surprise when I arrived home to see a little SSCS parcel from Norway sitting on my table.

I was so excited to open my Christmas decoration and little purse that was in my open early packet.

Thank you so much to "Grethe" it is a truly beautiful little gift. I have been looking for a little bag to carry my bobbins in for my Sue Daley project so this will be perfect. Thanks also for the beautiful postcards showing a glimpse of your beautiful country.  Thank you. 


I thought I had to share the beautiful stamps that were on my parcel. One because they make me feel very cool at the moment with the current heat wave and 2 because I love Scandinavian countries. I have  some good friends in Sweden and Denmark and have visited both countries. Denmark twice. My heritage on my mum's side is Danish and I love everything about it. I think I shall have to try to visit Norway some day.

Our Senior art show was last night.  My niece was a model in this one . Very clever with photography...She was body painted then then an  image was projected and the photo taken...pretty cool.

This is another of her works where she is a tribal bride...... I am so lucky to have  such a lovely and talented niece.

Many young people are so talented. I think I am lucky to work with them every day....

A Visit with Chooky

We are now home after our first 2 week trip in our Van.  ( not counting the one day practice trip to Nindy Gully).

We had a fantastic time and I am sure we will be using our caravan often in the future.  

On our way home we decided to take a side track to visit ... Guess who ... the lovely Chooky and her crew.

And Yes ; we did do some stitching..... just a little bit......  Mr Bird and I had a lovely time.....
