Quilpie 100 Year Celebration Machinery Parade

To celebrate 100 years of Quilpie they had a vintage machinery parade. They had approx  80 restored vehicles and a couple of this era. Don and Paddy from Orange bought this load of beautifully restored trucks , big and small to the show.  An interesting fact is that Quilpie is the end of the railway line to the west from Brisbane.

An Easter Stitchery Finish

I finished one of Bonnie Sullivan's pre- prints today . Bought this one at Nundle  GDITC .

I love them, so quick and so cute and I love the combination of wool and stitching.  All ready to be in a frame on my table next Easter.

Easter in Nundle

Most of you know Nundle for our Stitching escapades but every Easter the little township of Nundle, New South Wales, comes alive for the, The Nundle Go for Gold Festival.

The annual festival honours the significant role of Chinese and European miners and storekeepers in the development of the Nundle and Hanging Rock townships.

These were amazing athletes the lion dance was done on top of these posts. Two men in each dragon , one holding the other on his shoulders to make the lion.
