Why is it sometimes so very hard?

I think this is one on the hardest times of my life emotionally. My dad, Ray  has always been my rock, strong, powerful, inventive, giving, teaching, loving and protective.  Now it's our turn to do all that and more for him. Last week we had to admit him to an aged care home. On a respite basis at the moment but I have no doubt it will be permanent. His  health  and his ability to do day to day tasks independently is declining. His long term memory and ability to know his family is still fine but this is marred with some confusion and anxiety. He is 82 tomorrow. We will have cake!!  Life is not fair sometimes. Love you Dad!

Group projects

These are a couple of projects the ladies in my group have worked on this year.

Gail is trying to finish this Christmas quilt.

Chris  and Jo finished their table runners designed by "Shiralee Stitches".

Can't remember who did this..sorry but I love the colours.

Chris also stitched this beautiful quilt with stump work. 

Grand Kids Catch Up

These two are loving Christmas. A bit of fun with a Santa costume.

He loves the beach. He called me up and said "grandma the beach loves me"....

so funny.

And all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth because next year i go to school.

Christmas Party - work

Last night we had our staff room Christmas party at Rachael's. She lives on a property about 45 kms out of town.  Her husband put together the wooden reindeer, using a water float for his red nose ... very cute...I just love rustic charm.

The building is the shearers quarters where, in the past, the men shearing the sheep would live here until the shed was finished.
