Challenge 9 for me is a Christmas project. So I will work on this beautiful piece of Sashiko. I bought this at Deb’s Cottage Crafts at Coonabarabran. She has a lovely shop. Lots of temptation. Good luck to all who are challenging themselves this July.

Baby Leo Quilt
If you were at Scrub Stitch’n you might have seen the basics of a baby Janis was making . It was to be a donation but since June was time pressed for me I asked Janis if I could buy it from her. We did a swap instead and then . I added some appliqué , the baby was born Thursday last week. So now I will add his name, Andy, and have it ready by Monday.

Chookshed Stitchers Challenge“ June “ Quilting New Zealand Quilt.
Well I didn’t get my challenge done. Quilting my N Z memory quilt. It is on the machine and it has started. I haven’t used my long arm for a while and it took 2-3 days to maintain it , get the stitching tension right and working out the quilting design.
I decided on a rustic bar graph look for the border. Large stippling for the sky and I will quilt the rest in some custom way.
With Bernie being back and forth to the hospital June went to fast. He is all good now , the pain is gone finally. He ended up having a cyst on his spine but it’s all gone and all good now. Stay tuned !
