Christmas in June

Finished this Christmas tablecloth - a crazy nine patch

A Flannel Finish

I am on a finish challenge at the moment. I have a few quilt tops that need quilting so - some for me to do and 3 have gone to the long arm quilter. So I will be binding like crazy next month when they are done.

I have never machined down a bind on a quilt before. I always do one side on the machine and the final side I stitch down by hand.  Not today!  On this quilt ( all flannel, cuddly quilt) I did my first all machine bind. I am a very novice machine quilter but it is done.

Didn't turn out too bad .
I love autumn colours.

A Step Up

My son was travelling on  the Atherton Tablelands (North Qld. Australia)  recently and took this photo.  This beautiful staircase was built by his great grandfather. William Morris The stairs are in the Yungaburra hotel. he also built a spiral staircase in the Atherton hospital.

Last weekend a few of us spent the weekend at Stacey's at The Gap near Warwick . Such a wide variety of projects were under construction.

Sandy from Shiralee Stitches was working on the quilt above one. Check out her website if you like it.
Sheena was working on this quilt.
Di Storck was working on this amazing one from Java House Quilts and Karen Brow
This little beauty is another one of Sandy's from Shiralee Stitches. Sandy sells the curved rulers that help create  this cheats version of double wedding rings. Check out her web site.

I was working on my Foxly Village quilt I post some photos soon.

We had a great weekend.
