Diamond Anniversary for Mum and Dad

Today my parents have been married for 60 years. What a milestone for them. "Congratulations Mum and Dad." I have been very privileged to have parents who have loved and cared for all of us with all their hearts. They have given everything they could for us to have a good life.  We have been such lucky children.
We are having a big celebration planned for them on May 6th .

Love these Guys

Easter Rabbits

Easter Bunnies ! Oh no they've multiplied ! Cottage Rose's brothers and sisters didn't get the patchwork treatment but I am sure they will still be loved.

Patchwork Rabbit

Easter is around the corner so a project from the stash is on the sewing table. Not only is it on the table but it is finished. And some more bunnies to come. I love Tilda fabric.

Buying fabric

Looking for fabrics to match my Bison panel B brought from Utah for me.

Green Grass

I just love it when everything looks green, a little less so since B mowed but still green. The seasons have changed here. It feels like Autumn. Nights are cooler and so are days, only
31 C not 41 C ... lovely. Still swimming though!

Getting on with Lucy

Another Lucy Block finished .

A Bag to Match

I just couldn't waste the little bit of left over fabric from the bag I made a coupe of days ago. I certainly didn't want to return such a scrap to my stash. I made a cute little make up bag to go with the big bag. I love the way colouring in the giraffe with  fabric pens adds life to black and white.  At least I have one finish for march already but I am sure I will have more.

More lucy

One more Lucy Boston block done to add to my collection .

Foxley Village Ready to Quilt

Finally this beautiful quilt top is finished and ready for quilting.
It had been a journey that I planned to take one year but it has taken two. The ladies in my sewing group decided we would all undertake one of these for our 2016  project.  The quilt is by Natalie Bird and it was featured as a block of the month in Homespun. Natalie used Tilda fabrics.. I love Tilda ..so cute..I think I have used 95% Tilda for this.

I used the needle turn technique to applique , I am getting better at it now and I think I prefer it to using the blanket stitch technique.

I made one change to Natalie's lovely quilt.  The border really wasn't for me so I chose a plain white border.  So happy to have the top done.
