Whale watching at Eden . Thanks to Saphire Coast Adventures for sharing their photos . We couldn’t take any because it was too rough and both hands were needed to hang on . We saw a lot of whales though.
The more noise we made the more curious and interactive they were.

“Floriade “ is a huge flower festival held in Canberra, Australia’s Capital in The Australian Capital Territory. 460,000 tulip bulbs and 1,000,000 flowers are planted for the event. It certainly was spectacular. The skill of the horticulturalists to have all these flowers blooming at just the right time is incredible .
Each patch of tulips is under planted with annual flowers the same colour as the bulbs . As the bulb flowers die they dehead  them to keep it looking beautiful for the month long festival.
The annuals still have a lovely display.
At the end of the festival there are a couple of days when the  public can dig up the bulbs they want and purchase them knowing what colour they are due to the annuals. . I thought that was amazing. All the gardens are the removed until next year .

The Chookshed Challenge - The Year to Date.

Not much sewing happening in September as we are taking a trip around New South Wales southern beaches and then back through winery country to home. I’ll will have to catch up my Chookshed Stitchers Challenges then. I thought I would have a  little revise over the year so far to see what is ahead of me. I do love this challenge setting goals and trying to stick with them but sometimes life does get in the way. I still have a bit to do for 2025. But I have completed a couple of things not on the list so that’s a plus.

Happy Sewing friends.

August Escape- Baradine

On the last weekend in August ,Chookyblue AKA Donna, organised a retreat for us. There was about 16 of us altogether . We had a lovely time. Thank you Donna. There were many lovely quilts and stitched items to show however I have only a couple to share. Mainly because my photos weren’t that great. The weather was very chilly at this time of the year but I do love sewing and sharing a coffee with friends in the cooler weather.
