I have finally managed to get into my sewing room and I have finished a Christmas stitchery it's a Rosalie Decker pattern that I have had for a while. I love the circular shape of this one so I have made it into a table topper. Oh and it is centered even though it doesn't look like it in the photos.
These beauties are well and truly in flower now its spring. They are everywhere in our little town making the birds and bees very happy. The common name is" bottle brush" or CallistemonThursday, 24 September 2020

This week I thought I would share a couple of cute stitcheries from the "Travel Threads" range by Wendy Williams. They are 7 X 7 squares of linen . These were kits and very convenient. I love this type of folk art embroidery, just right for my non perfect stitching style. All I have to do now is decide what I will make them into, any suggestions welcome.

Hi to every one after an extended absence I'm back. Life has been in the way of sewing lately . I have done some Lucy Boston blocks and made a couple of masks for Co-Vid but that's about it. But I did make a pie and some biscuits today. A very good friend of mine gave me some lovely lemons, so of course, Lemon meringue Pie. I was having visitors this weekend so I added a few biscuits into the oven as well, oh and a banana cake but I didn't take a photo of it.

A little time out.
I am just letting you know I haven't given up blogging I have just been really sick with Ross River Fever and it's taking me a long time to get over it. I have nothing to show you as I am not up to sewing but I will eventually get there. I am also well behind with reading your blogs as well. Thinking of you all and hope to be back on deck soon.

ANZAC DAY IN ISOLATION
An ANZAC Day (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) like never before in Australia. On this day we thank our war veterans for their bravery and giving their lives for this country. Far different from the street parades and dawn service. People commemorated this day by lining up at their front gate and listening to the service via the radio. Light up the dawn was very successful, so many families made an effort with flags, poppies, candles and rosemary. Some played the last post. It was touching to see.
We had a little ceremony in our front garden.

Where There is a Will There is a Way
There is a first time for everything, virtual stitching. On the first week in April a bunch of ladies were supposed to meet for a stitching retreat organised by Chookyblue.
But as we all know we are in lock down due to this COVID 19 virus . So the very smart Chookyblue organised an online stitching day where we all did the same project. Anni Downs " Hatched and Patched" sent a package to all those involved. We were sworn to secrecy and we all opened it at the same time at our virtual sewing day. It was such fun chatting almost face to face with everybody.

I just had to include this in my blog. His aunt said he really acts like the Hulk when he is dressed up, my DIL says no.. he IS the Hulk when he is dressed up. Ha! Ha ! Meet the Hulk at three and a half.
Check the mail Mum
The kids surprised me with this lovely gift for my birthday. This arrived in the mail today from the "Fabric Patch" Wow I love it. Apparently you give a price range and they do a gift box and post it direct. Looks like plenty to do in COVID .19 lock down.

My friend Kerry made this beautiful covered tape measure for me, its is so sweet with grub roses and seed pearls. I received things to sew, scented candles and little bags as well as a face massage gadget. I was very spoiled.
