About Me- Bird on the Border

My Photo
We have a wonderful son who has just married and I now have a wonderful daughter in law. So nice to have another girl in the family. My wonderful husband and I both work full time. We enjoy travelling ,going in our caravan, dining out and spending time with friends and visiting our children. Oh shouldn't forget "Tess" the spoilt black kelpie. I love anything country and Shabby Chic and I love patchwork and stitching and getting together with like minded ladies who love to do the same. I love catching up with friends over a cup of coffee , and the smell of biscuits cooking in the oven on a rainy day. I enjoy keeping in touch with friends I have met through blogging and sharing our sewing on line. I love going off on stitching retreats and quilting weekends with my quilting buddy Gail. And of course I love the birds in my garden. I also write the blog for our local quilt group Macintyre Quilters.

Girls Stitch Along 2013

Yesterday we braved the flooded roads and went to Toowoomba for a beautiful day of stitching run by Quilters Angel at High fields.  My friends Gail, Margie S, Jo and Maxine went to "Girls Stitch In" with me. Quilters Angel is a beautiful shop to visit if you are in the Toowoomba area.
I was thrilled to run into two fellow bloggers Lynda and Cheryl. We had a good chat of course.....

Glad you got home safely. The Dalby ladies on our table had to stay the night.
It was good to catch up again.
