Slow and Steady
I began the 'my favourite things quilt" by Anni Downs a couple of years ago, about 4 months after the StitchALong girls started theirs. But I have taken a lot longer than most of them to finish. It is said a quilt that isn't worked on doesn't get finished. Guess that's not rocket science. So last weekend I got into it and Ta ...Da...... Some more blocks finally done... Not ironed and one not quite finished. Row 2 and 3 blocks.
I like the idea...favorite things! And it's true, if you don't work on it you don't finish it. I feel that way about actually doing the quilting (because I hand quilt.) I say if you liked it enough to piece it then you have to like it enough to finish it.
It's about working on projects that make you happy.....if that means you pull a project out and work on it occasionally well that's ok. In time it will be finished. The blocks are looking good.
