Macintyre Quilters Quilt show

Last weekend our quilting group held a  quilt display along with some ladies who wanted
to fundraise for "CHICS IN PINK" ( a group that helps ladies with breast cancer)

Our group made and donated 2 quilts. The winners were both from Goondiwindi , Karen Makim and Tammy Burdett.  I hope they enjoy their quilts.

here are some pictures of our day.

The Grass is Always Greener.

This little family lives on the other side of the fence.  ( the back of the caravan park)

Just reminded me of the old saying
" the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" in this case it actually was thanks to my washing machine run off.

We have many families of wild wood ducks visiting at the moment. Even had an echidna dig up my garden in a few places the other night.

Nature's Journey Quilt Top Done

I am so happy my quilt top is done!  I have put a full weekend in sewing to get it done.

This is my first fully completed Anni Downs quilt. Thank you Chooky  for the "StitchAlong"(SAL)  and Susan for helping.

I know it would not have been done unless I had deadlines to meet.

It's also good to know you are not doing it on your own.

I am not sure when it will be quilted soon..... I hope.

Some pictures of my journey....

Just the quilting to go.

Stitchers Dream Day Out

Last weekend myself, Gail, Jo and Margie S went to "Stitchers Dream day Out at High Fields"  in Toowoomba.

Quilters Angel  Patchwork store runs this event every year. I love it ..lots of friendly ladies all there to stitch . A little like Nundle people from everywhere. Michelle and Jan have shared our table before . Michelle is from Mt Isa.  Jan  her mum. was from Brisbane. I met two ladies from Atherton Nth Queensland who knew my brother in law, small world. The other two ladies at our table actually lived in our area... amazing... thats what I love about stitchers and patchworkers we all seem to have so much in common.

Susan  http://susans-sewing-space.blogspot.com.au/  and  Marilyn were there too it was a great day. the designers were Bronwyn Hayes from "Red Brolly" and Julie Lovell from "Calico Farm". the projects were lovely.

The store gives the designers some fabric and the designers have to make a new project  or as many projects as they like using the fabric provided.  The designers then release the patterns following the stitching day.

These are who and what we had to work with ...
