Stacey's at the Gap retreat

I just love going to "Stacey's at the Gap" . You are well looked after by Leonie and Mal. It's a beautiful location at the top of Cunningham's Gap near Warwick QLD.
The accommodation, while  old school camp style is quite suitable.  All meals are included and we have a great large hall to sew in and a roaring wood fire when its cold. What else could you want? Sew from 7 am til 10 pm. You can bush walk or sit in the sun ,it's up to you.

When Bernie went to the USA in 2017 he actually went into fabric shops and  bought me some panels. WOW I was so amazed so I am on a mission to make them up. I started with the Bison.

I thought log cabin might do it but NO the red  centre was too big and too busy.
Found this light fabric with lots of movement and I loved it.
Then I searched for some more ideas and lovely Karen ,one of the other ladies there was doing a chevron table runner.  So that was it after few hours of deliberation I decided on a chevron design.
I thought it was a great result I was pleased with it.

This was the second panel he bought me and this is the progress so far .

Hi Jenny
I've often wondered what it is like there - any retreat is a great place to be!

Love how you made up the bison - and the reindeer is looking great - love those tones.

Oh, Jenny, they are both really beautiful. I don't know that I would have known how to handle them but what you did with the bison is perfect and the colors on the deer are amazing! I can't wait to see it finished. (no pressure!)

Wow! They are turning out so well. Your fabric choices are perfect for the panels. Bernie will be so pleased with the results.
