Kookaburras in my Garden

For those of you who have read my blog since the start you might remember my first profile photo was a kookaburra. They wake me with their call every morning at dawn and say good night every evening at dusk.     And so my name.... "birdontheborder"  and  because I live on the border of two great states, Queensland and New South Wales.   

Today I had a visit from the kookaburra . 

I think this one is very young.  They love to sit on the clothes line.

Laugh Kookaburra Laugh ... King of the bush is he!   

 ( for my overseas friends "bush "  is an Aussie word  for forest)
