I have not achieved gift giving results yet but the kitchen cupboard will be boosted with new tea towels.
I really think it would be better hand done with blanket stitch...or I might try that on the machine??... what was I thinking ..or ..not thinking...machine blanket stitch...
And I might add I got my finger with the sewing machine too..ouch!

How much fun would that be??? I'd love one but then where do I keep it??? and realistically how often would I use it - I do have a friend with one that I can use if I need too...and that is always a convenient option..
Definitely machine applique for a tea towel if you are going to use them...blanket stitch or small zig zag?? or one of the decorative stitches can look good too.
the tea towels are looking very cheerful...love the colours.
I love the contrast flower, and agree a small with Susan with the stitches!

You'll have great fun playing with your new toy. For some things just straight raw edge appliqué looks good, as does blanket stitch or zig zag.
