During the last school holidays we went on a trip to Gulgong and Hills End in NSW. Both places are very historic and we found some treasures.

Many of these old pubs were the beginning of some townships and some of them still remain today as the heart and sole of almost deserted townships

Hills End Royal Hotel

This was a nice find in the little museum in the town.

When patch work was just that made of whatever they could find. Sorry I didn't get that date

Hills End

This little treasure shop in Gulgong was a find, well hubby thought so he found a very old "old timers" pocket knife

I think its a long time since it cost $10 but the accommodation was quite ok and very central to everything

It would have been a lovely trip. We do enjoy both those destinations.
