Ulverstone to Deloraine

13th and 14th February 2023

Ulverstone is between Burnie and Devonport.

The following photos are of a hand made fabric art collage of appliqué, stitches and other textile crafts. It tells the  history of Deloraine. It’s amazing. They have used a lot of tule to cover some parts and  hold the work in place. It consists of 4 panels each telling a story about the area. Deloraine is a very art and craft place . I even visited a patchwork shop called Quilters Corner.

While I was there they had a personal collection of sewing machines, mostly singers and Phaffs. Some real some models . Very cute little ones and all.

I love this antique crazy patch quilt dome with herringbone stitch

A very famous horse from the area.

Eating our way through Tasmania -Yum  Christmas Hill Berry Farm. Raspberries everywhere. I love that you can pick blackberries on the side of the road. Not something you can do where we live

The scenery is just beautiful here.

Lots of grass hay being baled all around the North of Tasmania
