Another historical town in the centre of Tasmania. Oatlands is a sheep farming area and had a windmill and granary. Now you can visit the Callington Mill and distillery at the windmill as well as get a history lesson as you go through the restored cottage and stables. Oatlands has the largest collection of pre 1837 buildings in Australia. 87 in the Main Street. There are 138 sandstone buildings. Originally Oatlands was the half way stop between Launceston and Hobart. The following photos are all of Oatlands and sorry they are not in order.

I'm all caught up again. Stunning views down in to the river valley. Lovely to see the windmill, such beautiful structures.
